Widespread severe storms are not expected, but some areas could see hail and strong winds this afternoon and evening.
Scattered storms are possible again on Sunday, mainly along and east of I-69.
The National Weather Service in Huntsville is anticipating storms to develop in MS and western Tennessee and push into north Alabama by mid- to late afternoon or evening. Temperatures will top off this afternoon in the mid to upper 80s with the heat index at 90+ for most. Mostly cloudy skies with patchy fog late. Highs for the weekend will be in the upper 80s to low 90s. Heavy rain, gusty winds and frequent lightning are likely in some areas. There is the chance of a few showers and storms to fire up along a cold front that will sweep through during the afternoon and evening. This will bring more chances of showers and storms for the start of the workweek.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms. Wednesday night looks quiet with lows in the mid-50s. There is a complex of showers and storms moving through IL and IN thi which will impact the Miami Valley this afternoon.
