Warner Bros. was teasing a new game reveal in 72 hours, but now we all know what it is.
Warner Bros. Games was planning for a surprise reveal later this week, though the "surprise", as it turns out, apparently will be Hitman 2.
In November 2017, developers IO Interactive committed themselves to a new Agent 47 game, stating that "franchise firsts" and that more information would be revealed "at some point" this year. One tweet stated the reveal would be about something new regarding Hitman, with the other confirming that the announcement, whatever it was, would be made at 6pm United Kingdom on Thursday 7th June. However, now it's clear as day that fans of the 2016 iteration of Hitman will be getting what looks like a full-blown sequel to the game, instead of another "Season" of new content like the previous game employed.
All things considered, we will simply have to wait and see what kind of announcement IO Interactive and Warner Bros.
Hitman is a long-running franchise which has seen many ups and downs.
