The Warriors made fools of the rest of the National Basketball Association on Monday, reportedly agreeing to a one-year, $5.3 million contract with DeMarcus Cousins.

Cousins, a four-time All-Star, could meet with the Pelicans and Lakers on Sunday, but it is uncertain if such meetings would take place in person or over the phone. "The people in the front office are going to make the best decision for the team or whatever they feel is the best decision".

Cousins played on Team USA with Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green, so there was already that familiarity.

DeMarcus Cousins is heading to the Bay. Redick averaged 17.1 points and shot 42 percent from 3-point range last season with Philadelphia, when he made $23 million.

This year's market had dried up on Cousins, who struggled to find a team willing to give him a long-term contract at the kind of max-level salary that he would've received prior to the injury.

Cousins underwent surgery to fix his torn Achilles in late January and Wojnarowski reported that he's hoping to return sometime during December or January. He was having one of the best seasons of his career at the time of the injury, scoring 25.2 points per game to go along with 10.7 rebounds. So, Cousins could return as early as the beginning with training camp.

Boston could have been an interesting fit for Cousins, whose almost unbridled, offensive talent is only checked by his unbridled, defensive temper.

The teammates LeBron James will be joining all have potential, but other than Brandon Ingram, have just as good of a chance to suffer from a sophomore slump than to improve off of last season.

"I would think the Sixers have the best package to offer, because they have numerous draft picks and young players", said Jon Johnson, KYW's Sixers' beat man and one of the foremost local authorities on the Sixers.
