Palace had attempted to tie their prized asset to a new long-term contract on improved terms, but Zaha has rejected it in favour of moving away from Selhurst Park, snubbing Everton in the process.
Zaha is interested in leaving Palace he had even submitted a transfer request but does not want to leave London, with Chelsea being his most preferred destination.
Further, it is reported that Zaha has rejected the club's advance at renewing his contract and bettering the package he now earns, with fresh terms giving him up to £125,000-a-week, a decent step-up from a recent contract he signed that sees him earn £100,000-a-week now.
Zaha returned to Palace in February 2015 after returning on loan from United and has shown why the Old Trafford side wanted to bring him in when he was 20.
It is claimed that the winger, who spent 18 months at Manchester United before returning to Palace, wants to push for a move to Chelsea.
'I spoke to Wilf yesterday and he certainly gave me no indication it was true about wanting to quit the club, ' Hodgson told talkSPORT.
The story is suggesting that Spurs are not willing to pay the £75m price tag for the pacey winger which leaves Chelsea with a clear pathway to sign one of the most talked about players of this window.
"Everyone likes him. Everyone admires him, he knows that and I think he likes and respects the club as well". He clarified that it had nothing to do with football, but didn't rule out the possibility that he could be on the move before the transfer window closes on August 9.
