A few United Kingdom residents noticed that the Argos catalog included a pretty big ad for the Mavic 2 drone which leaves nothing to the imagination and clarifies even the past leaks.
It suggested the catalogue offered only a "hint" of the new drone's features.
With the Mavic 2 Zoom, as the name implies this will feature a camera with 2x optical zoom from 24mm to 48mm. The ad confirms 360-degree collision awareness (DJI call this "omnidirectional obstacle sensing"), a top speed of more than 70km/h, and a 31-minute flight time. We don't know whether that reason is technical in nature - something that might mean the official products are slightly different to what's featured in the Argos catalog. The newest issue of the United Kingdom catalog Argos has spilled the beans on nearly everything except the pricing, and drone fans have been quick to share the ad online. There's also a dolly zoom on the, er, Zoom version. Well, that comes from leaked catalogue, but an even more recent leak from the German DJI website has given us our first up close look at the Mavic 2 Enterprise Edition. The 8km (about 5 miles) range is a small step up from the previous Mavic Pro. And second, the introduction of a new Pro model with a much larger image sensor.
One thing we don't know, however, is price. Now, more details have emerged about its successor, which will apparently arrive in two specs.
A DJI spokesperson commented "This pre-printed catalogue was scheduled before we postponed our "See the Bigger Picture" event to ensure we can deliver high-quality, cutting-edge technology to our customers according to our standard of innovation".
The follow-up to DJI's flagship Mavic drone has been a bit of an open secret recently, but it seems the early release of an advertisement has revealed the last remaining details. We're not sure to what extent DJI's partnership with Hasselblad is that resulted in this camera, so this is something we'll just have to wait and see.
