Chelsea have reportedly offered midfield mainstay N'Golo Kante a bumper new contract, amid strong interest from French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Reports earlier this week suggested that the Blues have tabled a contract offer of £290,000 a week which were he to sign, would make Kante the highest-paid player at the club, overtaking Eden Hazard.
Kanté was a pivotal figure in Chelsea's title-winning campaign in 2016/17 under Conte after joining from Leicester City for a reported £32 million (RM170 million). He's only got better during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Kante, who won the World Cup with France, only strengthened his growing reputation in world football at the tournament and is one of the best midfielders on the planet.
There's just nine days left of the transfer window for Premier League clubs and Chelsea are highly unlikely to consider an offer for Kante at this stage. Now in the same quiet, unfussy way, he is set to overtake the likes of Eden Hazard, Willian and Baba Rahman to become Chelsea's highest paid player.
With Danny Drinkwater possibly on his way out of the club and Tiemoue Bakayoko failing to impress so far, it is imperative for Chelsea and Maurizio Sarri to ensure Kante stays at the club for the long term.
Inter Milan have reportedly set their sights on bringing Croatia midfielder Modric to the club. But the Uruguayan midfielder, who played a crucial role at the World Cup, will cost at least £32m. Barcelona are looking for an understudy to Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Mignolet is on their radar; with no real chance of regular football at Liverpool, a lucrative move could appeal to the Belgium worldwide.
