First up is the reportedly leaked iPhone XS, an updated version of last year's iPhone X, which is rumored to feature everyone's favorite notch on a bezel-less 5.8-inch screen. The company had also foregone the TouchID home button in favour of gestures and a face unlock mechanism for authentication. The new iPhones are expected to be available in India around the same time.
Several information leaks suggest the new devices will feature an upgraded iPhone X, an iPhone X with a larger screen, and a more price-sensitive device that will have all the features of the iPhone 8 but look like the iPhone X. This move seems to be aimed at making a dent in the Android flagship market. Also, the iPhone XR is likely to come with a single rear camera. Based on the latest set of leaks, the 6.1-inch iPhone recently got leaked via a couple of images showing it listed on the Apple site. This year is no different, with everyone guessing what the new iPhones could be called.
A leak reveals that the names for the new iPhones coming out 2018 are the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Plus, and iPhone XC, which makes much more sense compared to previous rumors. Specifically, the iPhone XS Plus will sport a 6.5-inch OLED display.
Bloomberg reported at the time that the iPad could be released in 2018. The news of Apple deciding to bundle a 5W adapter with its 2018 iPhones is also disappointing. The handset is expected to be the cheapest in the line up as it may feature LCD screen. With an expected price of between $700-800, the new iPhone will likely be more attractive to consumers who were turned off by the iPhone X's $1,000 price tag and held off on upgrading.
Not much is expected to change as far as design is concerned.
Last year, the tech giant unveiled a special tenth anniversary edition iPhone X, as well as the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Apple analysts had earlier predicted that this relatively affordable iPhone would have a price between $600 and $700 while the other two iPhones will have a price close to $1000.
It'd be a pretty sensible move, though not an especially Apple-like one. It will also have a design that will use aluminium frame and glass body.
An upgraded version of the iPhone X with a 5.8-inch screen, but adding a faster processor and upgraded cameras.
