Alessandro Buongiorno is expected to be a key figure this summer and Napoli are looking to beat out their competition like Milan and Tottenham, preparing an official offer for the Torino talent.

The 24-year-old Italian centre back has proven himself to be one of the most exciting defenders in Serie A this term, standing out in Ivan Juric’s hot-and-cold squad. He has seen over 2500 minutes of action across 29 appearances this term.

A long list of clubs around Italy and Europe have set their sights on Buongiorno ahead of the summer, including Milan, Napoli, Juventus, Tottenham and some other unnamed Premier League clubs all interested in snapping up the talented defender.

Napoli draw battle lines

As reported by Francesco Guerrieri of Calciomercato.com, Napoli are keen to get an edge over their competition like Milan and Tottenham for Buongiorno, so are planning to submit an official offer to Torino in the coming weeks.

Valued at around €30-40m, the Partenopei could look to include some players in a possible deal to help lower the costs. They had already tried to make a move in January and do not want to lose out on the 24-year-old this summer.
