Lazio are planning some sweeping changes this summer and have set a price on two midfielders who never stray far from controversy.

The Biancocelesti find themselves in a difficult spot at the tail end of this season, still in the early stages of the new project under Igor Tudor, who arrived in March to replace Maurizio Sarri. Whilst initial signs have been positive, there’s been a few distracting elements.

Luis Alberto, who often finds himself in trouble in the Italian capital, sparked drama at Lazio last month when he publicly announced his intentions to leave the club on a free transfer. Captain Ciro Immobile could also be on the way out, seemingly on the decline as he approaches 35.

Lazio duo price

Page 14 of today’s Corriere dello Sport details how Lazio are willing to let both Luis Alberto and Matteo Guendouzi leave this summer, setting a €15m price tag on the former and a €30m valuation on the latter.

Your First, the agency who represent the Spanish midfielder, have denied rumours of an €8m net per season offer from Qatar. His 20% future resale clause with Liverpool adds another complication.

For Guendouzi, his troubled relationship with Tudor, stemming from their time together at Olympique Marseille, has pushed him to consider an exit in the summer.

  1. Feel bad for Immobile. He’s given all for Lazio but their supporters have turned their backs on him. Without his goals in Serie A, Lazio woulda been mid-table or worse relegation battling club. 11 years in Serie B did not turn them into civilized human beings.

  2. @Omar stop talking non sense.

Lazio comes 1st, no real Lazio fan has a problem with 👑Ciro, we respect everything he did BUT Lazio comes 1st and he is holding the team back at this moment in time. We know it, he knows it.

No respect lost and stop portraying the Lazio fans like some barbaric people, they are actually uniquely beautiful .

  3. Lotito should have thought long and hard before hiring Tudor about his mgmt style and past relationships. No question it is his way or the highway and perhaps that is not all that bad. However in todays football modernism is also needed. Not all players can be sold so key pieces including Alberto, Giendouzi but also Isaksen who rarely plays are all in question. Combine that with Lotito not wanting to spend big money to replensih or backfill these key pieces and I see another tortuous season coming…

  4. @Anthony it’s hard to argue with what you said, you are likely correct.

The one good thing compared to Verona is that he has a stronger team here, a better foundation and more budget. Let’s see, hopefully for once transfers will be done before Auronzo di Cadore and go from there…

Ps: one very promising sign though is that since his arrival, Lazio would be top of the league equal pts with Inter after 7 matches(that’s basically 1/5 of a season).
