Serie A champions Inter continue their glory tour with a trip to a struggling Sassuolo on the cusp of slipping down to Serie B.
The match between the Neroverdi and the Nerazzurri kicks off at 19.45 UK time at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio-Emilia.
Simone Inzaghi’s Inter have already secured their Scudetto and are now able to cruise to the summer, looking ahead to a busy 2024-25 season. Their only real goal now is to break the 100-point mark, sitting 11 away with four matches left to play.
The Nerazzurri’s only absence is Francesco Acerbi, who is out with a groin issue. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is just a booking away from a one-match suspension.
Sassuolo are fighting tooth and nail to avoid relegation to Serie B but time is starting to run out, with the team sitting 19th with 26 points, five behind 17th place Empoli.
The Reggio-Emilia outfit cannot count on Domenico Berardi, Gregoire Defrel and Samu Castillejo, all sidelined with injuries. Ruan Tressoldi is out through suspension, whilst Marcus Pedersen and Mattia Viti are in doubt with minor issues.
When these two teams met back in September, Sassuolo surprised Inter with a 2-1 win at San Siro, the Nerazzurri’s only league defeat this season.
