Massimiliano Allegri has now been dismissed by Juventus after his explosive outburst at the Coppa Italia final, so could he find a new home in the Premier League?
The 56-year-old Livornese tactician’s second spell with the Old Lady came to a dramatic end on Friday afternoon, when he was unceremoniously sacked following his furious behaviour during the Coppa Italia final against Atalanta on Wednesday.
Allegri was infuriated on the touchline during the match and was shown a red card for getting in the face of the fourth official, prompting him to start stripping off in fury before disappearing down the tunnel. He then damaged a LaPresse photo area near the dressing room before threatening Tuttosport editor-in-chief Guido Vaciago.
Allegri in England?
With his second Juventus spell coming to a dramatic end, many are now curious to see if Allegri will end up joining a Premier League club for the upcoming 2024-25 season. There are some options for the experienced tactician, some likely more appealing than others.
The first possibility is Manchester United, who seem likely to part ways with Erik ten Hag after a fairly difficult season in the Northwest of England.
Another idea is West Ham, who are looking around for a new head coach to replace David Moyes, whose second spell with the Hammers is drawing to a close.
A third option could be Newcastle United, with rumours suggesting a lack of faith in Eddie Howe after a disappointing season on Tyneside.
