Gian Piero Gasperini has confirmed his 21-man Atalanta squad for the upcoming Coppa Italia final with Juventus, setting the stage for the decisive battle.
La Dea have been in form under their experienced tactician this season, putting themselves on track to secure a spot in the Champions League in Serie A as well as reaching the final of the Europa League, where they’ll face Xabi Alonso’s high-flying Bayer Leverkusen.
Despite Gasperini’s impressive work in Bergamo over the last eight years, Atalanta still haven’t managed to win a trophy under the coach, with their last major honour coming in the 1962-63 season, when they won the Coppa Italia after beating Torino in the final.
