According to reports on Wednesday evening, Napoli sent scouts to observe last week’s Europa Conference League semi-final first leg between Fiorentina and Club Brugge in Tuscany, which ended in a 3-2 victory for La Viola.
Napoli, like many clubs in Serie A and beyond, are beginning to lay the foundations ahead of a busy summer transfer period.
According to reports from TMW, there are three players that would have been of particular interest to Napoli during Fiorentina-Club Brugge, all of whom are currently plying their trade in Belgium.
Three players of interest to Napoli
The first is 19-year-old centre-back Jorne Spileers. Though still a teenager, he has made 35 top-flight appearances in the Belgian Pro League, plus another 12 in the Europa Conference League and the competition’s qualifiers.
Back in November, he received his first call-up to the senior Belgium national team squad as a replacement for the injured Zinho Vanheusden.
The second player who could be of interest to Napoli is 25-year-old striker Ferran Jutgla. He came through the academy with Espanyol in Spain, and then spent a year on the books with Barcelona, making six LaLiga appearances during his time at Camp Nou.
Since moving to Club Brugge in the summer of 2022, he has averaged just shy of a league goal every three games, with a total tally of 21 from 66 appearances.
The other option for the Partenopei is another teenager in 19-year-old Kyriani Sabbe. A right-sided full-back or wing-back by trade, he has broken through into the Club Brugge first team this year with seven league appearances.
All three of the above players have contracts in Belgium that run until the summer of 2026.
