La Repubblica reports the new agreement with Adidas would be valid from 2023 and can help the FIGC get some extra money to convince Mancini to extend his contract with the Azzurri.
The current agreement with Puma is worth €18.9m-a-year, and FIGC President Gabriele Gravina wants to reach an agreement with Mancini before the beginning of the Euros, possibly by the next month.
Italy plan to offer Mancini a new contract until 2026 or at least 2024. His current agreement expires in 2022.
According to the report, the new kit sponsorship deal can help the Italian Federation to wrack up the money needed to offer Mancini a pay rise and convince him to remain in charge of the Azzurri.
