Atalanta
Carnesecchi 6 – Nothing he could do to deny Vlahovic. A few good saves here and there. Surely, he can’t be blamed.
De Roon 6.5 – Atalanta‘s best defender until minute 65 when he was subbed off in tears. Suspected knee injury, so he could miss next week’s UEL Final. (65′ Toloi 6)
Hien 4.5 – Lost the duel with Vlahovic and was booked a few minutes later. A terrible performance. No surprise he was subbed off (58′ Scalvini 6)
Djimsiti 4.5 – Kept Vlahovic onside when Juve scored the opener, but he wasn’t the only one at fault. Argued with a few Juventus players in the second half.
Zappacosta 5 – Looked a little bit tired down the right flank. He was never really dangerous. (58′ Hateboer 5.5)
Pasalic 5.5 – The Croatia international started in central midfield and did the dirty work. (58′ Miranchuk 6)
Ederson 6 – More determined than Pasalic against Juventus midfielders.
Ruggeri 5 – Like Zappacosta on the opposite side of the pitch, Ruggeri also failed to create trouble for the Old Lady.
Koopmeiners 5.5 – He had scored a brace in his previous meeting with the Old Lady. This time, Juventus defenders paid much more attention to the Dutchman, leaving him less space in the final third.
De Ketelaere 5 – This time, CDK was disappointing on a big night for La Dea who terribly missed Scamacca (46′ El-Bilal Touré 5)
Lookman 6.5 – Always a threat with the ball at his feet. He had the best chances for La Dea, hitting the post in the second half.
Coach: Gasperini 5.5 – Atalanta put many crosses in, but the box was often empty. Not as sharp as usual, his Atalanta side may have felt the pressure from the first Final of the season. Not a good sign ahead of next week’s UEL Final.
Juventus
Perin 6 – He didn’t have much work to do and was lucky when Lookman hit the post, but he was always never hesitant when he had go get out and claim the ball from crosses.
Gatti 7 – Some good forward runs in the opening stages and he filled the rest of the match with resolute defending.
Bremer 7.5 – A misplaced header in the second half led to Atalanta’s best chance. It was one of Bremer’s few errors.
Danilo 7 – Returned to action after an injury and his personality and sense of position were much needed in the Bianconeri’s backline.
Cambiaso 7.5 – Right winger and central midfielder at the same time. The Italian showed his quality in every position. Spalletti was surely glad to see it from the stands. (81′ Weah N/A)
McKennie 6.5 – A lovely touch in the build-up to Vlahovic’s goal contributed to Juventus’ win.
Nicolussi Caviglia 6.5 – It was the most important game of his career and he played it with personality. A deserved round of applause when he was subbed off. (62′ Miretti 6.5)
Rabiot 7 – Clear ideas with the ball at his feet and great physicality. A dominant performance in central midfield
Iling-Junior 6 – Quickly adapted to a left-back position after Vlahovic’s early opener. Not his natural role, but he fought hard.
Vlahovic 7.5 – Won most duels with Hien, scored the winner and had a goal disallowed. MOTM (81′ Milik N/A)
Chiesa 6.5 – He has reached the peak of form in the final part of the season. Good for Italy and good for Juventus, but he could have made better decisions in the final third tonight. (69′ Yildiz 6.5)
Coach: Allegri 7 – Lost his temper in the final seconds, receiving a red card. He knows this could be one of his final games in charge. If he leaves, as expected, at the end of the season, he will do it as the most successful coach in Coppa Italia.
Allegri deserves the utmost respect. Top 4 and a trophy with THAT squad is high level achievement. Chapeau.
Allegri OUT FOREVER!!
Amazing work by Allegri. Wonderful defending.
